My name is Wafaa Samir. I’m a photographer and an artist who lives and works in Cairo. My photography work takes two completely different directions, fine art and documentary. As a new contributor to Everyday Egypt I will start posting some of my documentary photos over here. In my documentary work I like to focus on the less visited places in Egypt, and to show the relation between the place and its residents.

I am also releasing a documentary film soon titled The People’s Girls, (Banaat el Nas) about sexual harassment in Egypt.
